Deliveries for the world’s first production CNG motorcycle have already commenced in Gujarat and Maharashtra.
Ushering in a whole new proposition with the promise of cutting down your average running cost by more than half, the new Bajaj Freedom 125 has created quite the buzz in the commuter motorcycle segment. So much so, that despite its initial conservative approach to selling the CNG bike in just Gujarat and Maharashtra, Bajaj quickly followed it by commencing bookings across pan-India. Especially after the brand registered more than 30,000 enquiries in a few weeks, which gave the company the confidence to expand its sales across the nation.
So for folks who are residing outside these states, while the Bajaj Freedom 125 is available for bookings – deliveries for the CNG bike will only commence after a 2-3 month waiting period. This includes states like Karnataka, West Bengal, and Delhi. Yes, the Bajaj Freedom 125 is already being sold in Gujarat and Maharashtra with the first bike already being delivered in Pune. Additionally, the world’s first CNG bike is available in three variants with prices starting from ₹95,000, out of which only the top-spec model which is priced at ₹1.10 lakh (ex-showroom) is on sale currently. The same will follow in the rest of the states as well.
Apart from being frugal, the Bajaj Freedom 125 is also one of those green alternatives with carbon emissions of less than 26.7 per cent. This makes it a great alternative towards electric two-wheelers, which ideally command a higher sticker price. So, to know more about how effective the new Freedom 125 is, find that out in our review video below:
