Bajaj has introduced a new Pulsar N160 variant with a single seat for better passenger comfort, and gold USD forks for improved precision and control. The company says this new offering democratises sports motorcycling in India, and is in keeping with the aggressive character and sporty design of the Pulsar lineup.
The new variant is priced at ₹1,23,983 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It will be available at dealerships across India. Four colour options are available: Pearl Metallic White, Racing Red, Polar Sky Blue, and Black.
According to Bajaj, market research showed that a large number of pulsar buyers would prefer a single seat over the original split-seat design, especially those who often have family members riding with them. It says this new variant will be more comfortable for everyday commuting for such buyers, while still offering the performance, design, and appeal of the Pulsar N series.
The gold USD forks were chosen for their precision, control, and road presence. USD forks were available before, but only on a split-seat variant, which continues to be available. Similarly, a single-seat variant without USD forks was available. Buyers can now get both.
No other changes have been made, with the engine and other mechanical components exactly the same as with existing variants. The Pulsar N160 has a 164.82cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine capable of 15.78 bhp and 14.65 Nm, along with a five-speed gearbox. Other features include a USB smartphone charger and a Bluetooth-enabled digital console with support for call and message notifications.
