The ‘Biggest Pulsar Ever’ is set to launch next month, on May 3.
Bajaj has officially released the first teaser of the Pulsar NS400. Slated to be the biggest Pulsar ever, the upcoming motorcycle will position itself as the brand’s most premium offering. So, pricing-wise, we can expect the upcoming Pulsar NS400 to slot alongside the Bajaj Dominar 400, i.e. in the ₹2.31 lakh (ex-showroom) range.
Mechanically, the Bajaj Pulsar NS400 will carry over the same 373 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is also available with the Dominar 400. This motor churns out 39 bhp and 35 Nm in the latter, so, a similar configuration is expected to be carried over with the naked sport as well.
Speaking of which, the styling of the upcoming Pulsar NS400 will be a major talking point. We expect it to be designed on the same lines as the existing NS200, and in the process might end up with a bulkier and more muscular appeal - courtesy the bigger engine. Therefore, the upcoming Pulsar NS400 will be based on the same perimeter frame that also underpins the existing Pulsar NS200, albeit with minute alterations to accommodate the bigger engine. And it will be suspended by an upside-down fork and a monoshock absorber.

Feature-wise, given how Bajaj has updated the entire Pulsar line-up with a new fully-digital instrument cluster — we can expect the same to make its way to the Pulsar NS400 as well. This new unit supports smartphone connectivity, which in turn will get you features like turn-by-turn navigation, music playback, and accept/ reject call, etc. Along with that, the new wolf-eyed LED DRL style, and LED headlight and tail light, and turn indicators will be available as standard.
The launch of the new Bajaj Pulsar NS400 will be quite important as it will help the brand secure a space in the much desired 400-500 cc segment. What was earlier entrusted with the Dominar 400, will the upcoming Pulsar NS400 be able to deliver on that front? Is something that remains to be seen.
