Husqvarna’s electric scooter concept was called the Vektorr. Perhaps, this name might be for the production one
Even as Bajaj might be shaping up to launch its new updated Chetaks, there might be a more premium, stylish and fancier electric scooter rolling out from Akurdi. Yep, the Vector name has been registered and could potentially be used for an electric scooter with a Husqvarna badge.
Husqvarna had shown off the Vektorr concept in 2021, flaunting typical Swedish flair and elegance. It had the neo-retro look that we have come to associate with the brand, dolled up in the signature white with yellow accents.
Bajaj was going to produce the Vektorr for Husqvarna after all the base for the e-scooter was the Chetak itself. With the latter e-scooter undergoing a massive revamp itself, we won’t be surprised if there’s a premium and more performance-oriented scooter called the Vector rolling out.
Currently, the Chetak Urbane variant has been introduced for 2024. It boasts of 113 km of IDC range, top speed of 63 kmph and a smattering of basic tech. With the TECPAC (something like a tech boost kit, similar to Ather’s Pro Pack), the performance is enhanced to 73 kmph and you get a fair bit more goodies like riding modes. The Premium version that is arriving on January 5, will have fancier tech and hopefully a bit more performance than its Urbane trim.
So, expect the Vector (or Vektorr) to be the top dog in this line-up in every regard. It will command a premium and have features that should more or less justify the price tag as well.
