BKT launches On-Highway tyres for two-wheelers and commercial vehicles, and commits ₹3,500 crore for growth under Vision 2030.
Balkrishna Industries Limited (BKT) has announced its entry into India's consumer tyre market with the launch of its On-Highway portfolio.
This strategic expansion extends BKT's expertise beyond OHT leadership to purpose-built tyres for Two-Wheelers (scooters and motorcycles) and Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles (M&HCV), reinforcing its commitment to the country's growing consumer and replacement tyre segments.
Alongside the product launch, BKT unveiled its national brand campaign, Elevate Your Drive, featuring brand ambassador Ranveer Singh. The campaign marks the beginning of the company's consumer brand journey and a new phase for the home-grown global tyre manufacturer.
Under the unified identity BKT - Growing Together, the company introduced a refreshed brand architecture with two distinct pillars: BKT Tyres, encompassing the full tyre portfolio across Off-Highway and On-Highway categories, and BKT Carbon, representing its carbon black and industrial materials business.
The announcement was made in the presence of Arvind Poddar, Chairman and Managing Director; Rajiv Poddar, Joint Managing Director; Satish Sharma, Senior President and Director - Business Development and Strategy; Lucia Salmaso, Managing Director, BKT Europe; and Mahesh Koppad, Chief Marketing Officer - India, BKT Tyres.
Arvind Poddar highlighted that the on-highway entry aligns with BKT's purpose of supporting India's evolving mobility needs with reliable, value-driven products. Rajiv Poddar described it as a key milestone under Vision 2030, targeting ₹23,000 crore revenue by FY30 through disciplined growth, product excellence, and long-term commitment.
The two-wheeler portfolio includes BKT ZENOVA for urban commuting with enhanced comfort, handling, and grip, and BKT THYROS for mixed on-off-road use with reliable control. Both are manufactured in India, validated at NATRAX, and BIS-certified for safety and performance.
For M&HCV, BKT introduced m.Loadxpert (11.00R20) and Milexpert RG (295/90R20), engineered for high stability, casing strength, and consistent performance in demanding applications like cement transport and regional cargo. These will launch in Q1 FY2026–27.
The rollout will occur through a nationwide distributor-dealer network in phases, supported by a digital service platform for quick resolution and engagement.
BKT has committed ₹3,500 crore (USD 400 million) to expand manufacturing, R&D, vertical integration via BKT Carbon, and distribution. Vision 2030 targets a revenue mix of ~70% OHT, ~10% carbon black, and ~20% on-highway tyres by FY30.
