It is a powerful upgrade for adventure seekers with sharper design, bigger engine, and fancier feature
Benelli has unveiled the TRK 552X, the natural successor to the TRK 502X. The TRK 552X has officially arrived, though for now it's only hitting showrooms in China. Besides better performance, the new TRK 552X gets aesthetic updates over its predecessor too, making it a more compelling option for riders seeking a stylish and powerful adventure companion.
The Benelli TRK 552X sheds the Benelli TRK 502X's look for a more aggressive and commanding design. The front profile features a striking upgrade with dual-LED headlights replacing the halogen units. A larger windscreen and a redesigned fairing contribute to a more imposing presence on the road.

The most significant change lies at the heart of the machine. The Benelli TRK 552X ditches the Benelli 502X's engine for a more muscular 552cc parallel-twin unit. This translates to a significant power increase, with the new engine churning out 61 bhp and 55 Nm of torque. The power has gone up by 11 bhp and 9 Nm. The bike gets 6 speed gearbox with slipper clutch and quickshifter.

The Benelli TRK 552X retains the steel trellis frame from the Benelli 502X, known for its stability and handling prowess. Suspension duties are handled by Marzocchi USD fork and monoshock at the rear. While a 21-inch front wheel would have been ideal for off-roading, the 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cross spoked wheels wrapped in Metzeler Tourance tyres.

The TRK 552X has a significant upgrade in features compared to its predecessor. The old analog-digital display is replaced with a modern 5-inch TFT unit. This offers a plethora of information to the rider and also has Bluetooth connectivity, multiple display modes, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) are some of the highlights of this new instrument cluster. While the bike misses out on riding modes and traction control system offered by some competitors, the standard dual-channel ABS ensures rider safety during braking.

While Benelli hasn't officially confirmed an India launch date, considering the TRK 552X replaces the 502X globally, it's highly likely to arrive on Indian shores sometime later this year. The pricing is expected to be ₹ 50,000 - ₹ 70,000 higher than the TRK 502X's ₹6.50 lakh (ex-showroom) tag.
