Indian electric two-wheeler startup BGauss has introduced the new Oowah electric scooter range. The new BGauss Oowah EX is priced at ₹94,990, followed by the Oowah Max and Oowah Max Plus at 1.23 lakh (ex-showroom). The new e-scooter is targeted at first-time EV buyers, specifically college students, and is also the most accessible offering from the company. BGauss does not clarify what does “Oowah” mean but it has revealed the electric offering comes with a 2.3 kWh removable battery pack on the EX trim with a claimed range of 105 km (IDC), while the top trims gets a 3 kWh CAN-enabled LFP fixed battery pack promising 145 km (IDC) on a single charge.
Visually, the BGauss Oowah is simple and slender with basic design and proportions. The Oowah EX gets a basic round single-piece headlamp, while the Max and Max Plus get a nice LED unit stretching the width of the front apron. The model is available in multiple vibrant colour options, named Emerald Shadow, Jamun Punch, Zesty Red and Tangy Toma. The e-scooter comes with a fibre-glass body and 12-inch wheels on either end.

On the feature front, the Oowah electric scooter comes equipped with a reverse assist, a digital instrument cluster with a distance-to-empty indicator, a side stand sensor, USB charging, full LED lighting, and 21 litres of under-seat storage. The Oowah can be charged from 0-80 per cent in 1 hour 55 minutes using the optional 1350-watt fast charger. The battery itself is IP67-rated.
Speaking on the launch, Hemant Kabra, Founder, BGauss said. “The Indian two-wheeler buyer is changing faster than most product portfolios have kept pace with Gen Z wants products that are expressive, contemporary, and enjoyable to own. With Oowah, we are introducing a new category that blends bold design with trusted electric mobility. It is a scooter that reflects individuality while delivering the reliability and practicality that riders expect from BGauss.”
The new Oowah enters a hotly contested space with popular-selling models such as the TVS iQube, Chetak C25 series, Ola S1X, and more. There’s also the upcoming Ather Konarc set to join the same price bracket, while the newly launched E3 Trion e-scooter is another contender.
