The ‘50 Jahre’ Edition is limited to 50 units of the 330 Li and M340i each.
To celebrate 50 years of the 3 Series, BMW India has launched the ‘50 Jahre’ edition. The BMW 330 Li M Sport ‘50 Jahre’ Edition is priced at ₹64 lakh, while the M340i ‘50 Jahre’ Edition is priced at ₹76.90 lakh. The ‘50 Jahre’ Edition will be limited to just 50 units for both models.
While the 330 Li’s special edition is ₹1.4 lakh dearer than the standard edition, the M340i’s special edition costs ₹1 lakh more. So what do they get for this extra money?
Apart from the exclusivity, the 100 buyers of these cars will also get a 1:18 scale model of the BMW 3.0 CSL from the 1970s. Each car will also have a 1/50 engraving, highlighting the exclusivity of the special edition.
The 330 Li M Sport ‘50 Jahre’ gets blacked-out elements, carbon-fibre trims, 50 Jahre engraving on the B-pillar, and a head-up display with 3D augmented view as part of the special edition. It comes with three colour options, Mineral White, Skyscraper Grey and M Carbon Black colours with Black and Brown interior.
Meanwhile, the M340i ‘50 Jahre’ gets M Performance door pins, 50 Jahre emblems and hubcaps and blacked-out badges. It is available in four colour options – Dravit Grey, Black Sapphire, Fire Red Metallic and Arctic Race Blue – and a black interior.
Both come with tech like a curved display that has two screens (14.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch virtual cluster), power-adjustable front seats, reverse camera, three-zone climate control, ambient lighting, panoramic glass roof (single-pane on the M340i) and a wireless charger.
The 330 Li is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 255 bhp and 400 Nm, sending power to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The M340i gets a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol inline 6 engine with 369 bhp and 500 Nm, sending power to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
