The upcoming BMW ADV bike will be manufactured in India by TVS.
BMW Motorrad surprised everyone when it showcased the F 450 GS concept at the 2024 EICMA motorcycle show. The new bike was a step-up for the G 310 owners as the platform has been present in the market for over a decade. The German brand hadn’t confirmed any launch timelines, but we were sure that the production form of the bike wasn’t very far away, and we were proved right as BMW confirmed the launch of the F 450 GS by the end of 2025. We expect the production version to make its global debut at the 2025 EICMA motorcycle show in November and the bike to go on sale by early 2026.
The big news for Indian bikers is that the BMW F 450 GS will be manufactured by TVS at its Hosur facility just like the G 310 and the CE 02 electric scooter. This means pricing of the upcoming BMW adventure bike could be competitive and it might be priced around ₹5 lakh (ex-showroom). Yes, the above pricing isn’t affordable by any means but for a BMW bike, the pricing seems fair.

Details regarding the bike are scarce as the German giant has only revealed that the F 450 GS will be powered by a 450 cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 45 bhp and it will weigh 175 kg. The styling of the bike is based on the BMW G 1300 GS and unlike a hardcore off-road bike, the BMW F 450 GS runs on a 19/17-inch spoke wheels setup. The upcoming BMW ADV bike will compete against the KTM 390 ADV, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the Honda NX500.
