BSA is expected to launch their first motorcycle in India in the coming months.

In an update from the ongoing Motorcycle Live motor show in the UK, Classic Legends, the owner of the British motorcycle brand BSA, has unveiled a new colour option for the Goldstar model. The Shadow Black variant introduces a glossy black finish on the fuel tank and side panels, complemented by a dark grey shadow stripe along the centre.

The traditional chrome elements have been replaced with a matte black treatment on both the engine and exhaust. This aims to provide a modern look to the classic roadster.

The BSA Goldstar is equipped with a 652cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired with a five-speed gearbox. This powertrain produces 45 bhp and 55 Nm of torque. This bike gets spoke wheels for the retro classic look and the suspension duties are handled by telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. Braking is provided with single disc brakes at both ends, along with dual-channel ABS.

The introduction of the Shadow Black colour expands the Goldstar's colour choices to a total of six across two trims. The standard trim now includes Insignia Red, Midnight Black, Dawn Silver, Highland Green, and the aforementioned Shadow Black. Additionally, the Legacy Edition is available in a Silver Sheen colour scheme.

The launch details for the BSA Goldstar in India have not been disclosed yet, but there are expectations that it will be introduced by early 2024. It competes with the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
