Citroën India is preparing to expand its C3 small SUV lineup with the introduction of a new special edition. According to our dealer sources, the upcoming variant could be called the Citroën C3 Sport Edition, featuring cosmetic updates and a handful of added features aimed at enhancing both visual appeal and cabin experience. The Sport Edition is expected to stand out with a rally-inspired decal package, which includes bold C3 branding and unique exterior highlights. On the inside, the cabin will receive a new interior theme with red accents, prominently displayed on the seats along with 'SPORT' badging.
In terms of features, the special edition is expected to offer a few equipment upgrades over the standard trims. These include the addition of ambient lighting, a wireless charging pad, and a dashcam— none of which are currently offered on the existing variants. Other equipment such as accented AC knobs, auto-folding outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs), automatic climate control, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a four-speaker audio system, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are likely to remain unchanged from the top-spec variants.
Mechanically, the C3 Sport Edition is not expected to see any changes. It will likely continue with the existing 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, producing 109 bhp and 205 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. No manual or naturally aspirated variants are expected for this edition.
Safety equipment will also likely remain in line with the current top variants, featuring six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, three-point seat belts for all occupants, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a rear-view camera, among others.
In terms of pricing, the Sport Edition is expected to carry a premium of approximately ₹30,000 over the current range-topping variant. This pricing strategy mirrors Citroën India’s recent approach to special edition models, including the recently revealed C3 Dark Edition.
