Citroën India Teases New “Value for Money” AircrossX, BasaltX Variants: Feature Upgrades Expected

Citroën India has released a series of teasers on social media and is inviting prospective buyers to register interest on its website for new variants of its AircrossX compact SUV and BasaltX coupe SUV. Promising “value for money like you’ve never seen before”, the company is likely to introduce new or refreshed variants with more features, in an effort to stay competitive and appeal to buyers this festive season.

Silhouettes of the cars shown in the teasers point to the AircrossX and BasaltX, while each successive one has shown puffs of smoke in different colours. The new variants will be announced later this month, and pricing is not yet known. This comes just a few months after the BasaltX Comfort Edition was announced.

No major changes to the cars’ core specifications and performance are expected, but buyers could be tempted with new features and configuration options, including ones that have so far been available only on higher-cost trims. Some exterior cosmetic touches might also be updated with these offerings.

The move comes as competitors have launched new and refreshed products in the compact SUV space over the past few months. The incoming variants might not affect the base prices of each model, but could improve the value proposition of lower- or mid-spec variants.
