Continental Tires has officially launched its new CrossContact A/T² all-terrain tyre in India, marking a significant step in the brand’s expansion into the country’s fast-growing 4x4 and SUV segment. The tyre was unveiled at the Continental Tires Track Day 2026 held at Dot Goa 4X4, offering an immersive off-road experience to showcase its capabilities. With this launch, India becomes one of the first markets globally to receive the next-generation CrossContact A/T².
The CrossContact A/T² is engineered to deliver a balance of comfort, control, and toughness. Some of the key features of the new Continental all-terrain tyres include Black Paw compound which is an adaptive rubber compound that maintains elasticity and traction across hot, cold, dry, and wet conditions, ensuring consistent grip. The sidewalls of the tyre feature a strong compound to protect it against cuts, abrasions, and trail damage.
Speaking at the launch, Samir Gupta, Managing Director, Continental Tires India, commented, “India’s 4x4 vehicle segment is experiencing sharp growth, driven by a growing passion for adventure and long-distance travel. With our ‘In the Market, For the Market’ approach, we continue to innovate for Indian road conditions. The CrossContact A/T² delivers high performance across the diverse terrains and topographies that India offers.”
The Continental CrossContact A/T² is available across 200+ Continental brand stores and authorised dealerships nationwide. It is offered in multiple sizes ranging from 215/70 R15 to 285/60 R18, making it compatible with a wide range of SUVs and 4x4 vehicles sold in India. Cars which are compatible with the new Continental CrossContact A/T² include the Mahindra Thar, Toyota Fortuner, Maruti Suzuki Jimny and more.
