In her new capacity, she will be responsible for driving Continental's growth in India.
Continental Tires India on Monday named Nevin Aslan-Özkan as its new Managing Director with effect from 6 April 2026, succeeding Samir Gupta, who left the post a day earlier for personal reasons. Aslan-Özkan joined Continental in 2017 and has since held a range of senior roles spanning Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region, with experience across mergers and acquisitions, strategy and business development.
Most recently, from May 2025, she served as Chief Financial Officer for Continental Tires India, overseeing the company's financial strategy and performance.
In her new capacity, she will be responsible for driving Continental's growth in India, with a particular emphasis on strengthening the company's position in the passenger vehicle segment.
"India continues to be a strong focus market for Continental Tires. Guided by our 'In the Market, For the Market' approach, we will continue to deliver products and technologies designed for Indian roads," Aslan-Özkan said in a statement.
Her predecessor, Samir Gupta, joined Continental in 2012 and led the Indian business from January 2022. He is credited with broadening the brand's reach across the country during his tenure.
The leadership change comes at an active period for the company. Continental Tires India recently introduced the CrossContact A/T², a new tyre aimed at SUV and four-wheel-drive owners, with India becoming the first market in the world to receive the product.
