The company commenced commercial manufacturing at a 10,000 sq. ft. facility in Jhajjar, Haryana, successfully completing and exporting its first production batch.

Bengaluru-based deep-technology firm Vimag Labs has officially commenced operations at its first manufacturing plant in Met City, Jhajjar, Haryana. The facility, which specialises in electric motor and control systems, has already manufactured and exported its initial production batch to international markets. To support its long-term industrialisation strategy, the company has outlined a phased investment plan of around ₹50 crore to expand its manufacturing footprint across India as customer demand and program volumes scale.

Spanning 10,000 sq. ft. with provision to expand to 20,000 sq. ft., the Jhajjar site houses advanced testing infrastructure, clean-room assembly zones, and Industry 4.0 digitally connected production lines. The facility currently focuses on serial production of mid-power motor and control systems, utilising Vimag's patented VMSM platform that replaces rare-earth permanent magnets with software-defined magnetic fields. As commercial programs mature, Vimag plans to scale output up to 10,000 systems per month and expand into high-power applications rated at 570 kW (764 bhp) and above.

Highlighting the strategic shift, Manish Seth, Co-founder and CEO of Vimag Labs, stated that the commencement of manufacturing marks a key transition from technology validation into commercial serial production. Seth noted that the facility's initial export success demonstrates operational readiness, while future expansion will deepen partnerships across tooling, component supply chains, and industrialisation in India. The expansion is projected to create 100 to 150 direct and indirect employment opportunities across engineering, testing, quality control, and supply chain management.

To support its growth trajectory, Vimag Labs recently secured USD 5 million in a Series A funding round led by Accel, alongside Chakra Growth Fund and Thinkuvate. The firm has also signed a manufacturing MoU with Jendamark Pvt. Ltd. for VMSM production scaling and secured an exclusive US technology licensing agreement for a bidirectional high-voltage inverter platform operating at up to 1,000V.
