Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally Launched At Rs 29.72 Lakh

If by any stretch of the imagination you wished the Ducati Multistrada V4 could get a bit more serious (firstly, why did you think that?), then meet the Rally edition. Priced at Rs 29.72 lakh, the Multistrada V4 Rally is aimed to help you unlock newer paths with focused equipment to make the journey more joyous.

Essentially, Ducati has taken the Multistrada V4, jacked it up with longer travel suspension at both ends (200 mm now), thrown in tubeless spoke wheels, and fortified the whole bike to do some serious dirt bashing. As a result, the seat height has gone up to a mortifying 870 mm, which just makes it quite a handful for the not-so-experienced riders.

You will find the same 1158cc Granturismo V4 mill here as the other Multistrada V4s as well with no change to the peak output of 170 bhp and 121 Nm. There is a dedicated Enduro riding mode where the motor is restricted to push out 114 horses, so that the bike feels a lot more manageable when you take it off the broken path.

And thanks to a mahooosive 30-litre aluminium fuel tank, you can ensure that the fun won’t run out quickly when you are crushing your way through continents.

The Rally edition is surely going to have a handful of takers but it might not be everyone’s cuppa joe. It would be interesting to see how this Multi shapes up against a revamped BMW R 1300 GS, which is coming down to our chores next year.
