2025 Ducati Panigale V4

Ducati’s flagship sport bike debuts an all-new design language with updated underpinnings, but with the same Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine now tuned to produce more power.

Ducati India has kickstarted its 2025 campaign of launching 14 new bikes and the first of the lot are the new Panigale V4 and V4 S. The brand’s flagship sport bike has landed on our shores starting from ₹30 lakh for the base V4 and ₹36.50 lakh for its more technologically-advanced sibling the V4 S. Changes made to the bike are quite substantial here and looking more sophisticated and agile is just the tip of the iceberg here.

The new design language of the 2025 Panigale V4 has a distinct resemblance with the iconic 916. The fairing design is now smoother than before, which the Italians claim has also helped improve aerodynamic efficiency. Gone is that gaping LED projector headlamp design, and instead there are new LED headlights now. The winglets also seem better integrated now, which helps keep the overall fairing look clean. Similarly, the tail has also been redesigned without disturbing the overall sharp profile much at all.

What has remained the same is the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine from before. It has been updated to comply with the latest emission norms, and in the process Ducati has also managed to eke out a minor bump in power of 0.5 bhp, but torque has dropped by 3.3 Nm. Yet it produces 214 bhp and 120.9 Nm, making it one of the most powerful bikes in its class. Ducati has also reworked the internals of the engine with new high-lift cams, and cooling system with oil and water radiators. Plus the engine mapping has also been reprogrammed, which apparently has made the bike more accessible to ride. Beyond that, the 6-speed gearbox with slipper-assist clutch and a quickshifter.

The engine comes nestled inside an updated frame, wherein the front frame has been redesigned to improve all-round usability and it is joined by a new dual-sided swingarm called Ducati Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm. The latter replaces the iconic single-sided swingarm, which should help put the power down more effectively, especially during corner exits.

The new Panigale gets Öhlins' latest NPX-30 pressurised fork.

Underpinning this new frame are Öhlins’ latest third-generation NPX-30 pressurised fork, and TTX36 monoshock. Braking duties are carried out by Brembo’s latest Hypure callipers that are 30 mm lighter and have better heat dissipation capability. The 17-inch alloys now also sport a different design which has helped shed 2.17 kg weight from before, which helps reduce unsprung mass, and thus make the bike all the more agile. Lastly, the 2025 Panigale V4 gets stickier Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tyres which should come in real handy when hitting the track.

On the features front, Ducati has introduced a new 6.9-inch TFT, that now gets a dedicated track mode display complete with G-meter readings, power and torque output, lean angle data. There are three ride modes on offer here – Race, Sport and Street. Plus four power modes – Full, High, Medium, and Low. In addition to that, you also get Engine Brake Control, Traction Control, Slide Control, Launch Control, and all the usual gamut of electronic nannies that one expects in modern bikes.

It competes with the BMW S 1000 RR, Kawasaki Z H2 and KTM 1390 Super Duke R

Deliveries for the new 2025 Panigale V4 and V4 S will commence shortly. If you’re in the market searching for something fast, sophisticated and RED – then you should not consider anything else. But if you do, the Panigale V4 competes against the likes of the track-ready BMW S 1000 RR, supercharged Kawasaki Z H2, and the manic naked, the KTM 1390 Super Duke R.
