The new Karizma gets a more potent engine and a host of new features and components.
Alongside the Hero Xpulse 210 and the Xtreme 250R, the largest two-wheeler manufacturer from our country also showcased the new Hero Karizma XMR 250. Whether the new bike will replace the Karizma XMR remains to be seen, as, despite being such an iconic name, the comeback for the Karizma has been lacklustre. However, Hero would be banking on the Karizma XMR 250 to revive sales. The styling of the bike is based on the standard Karizma, but the new 250 cc motorcycle gets a more aggressive face with LED projector headlight and integrated winglets. The flattery tyres and the USD fork give the Karizma XMR 250 an aggressive stance, too.
Moving on to the engine, the new bike is powered by a 250 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine churning out 29.58 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 25 Nm at 7,250 rpm. In comparison to the Karizma XMR, the new bike produces 4 bhp and 5Nm more, which is significant gains. The steel trellis frame has been optimised for engaging handling dynamics and its rest on an USD fork and monoshock setup. Braking hardware consists of disc brakes on both ends with dual-channel ABS coming standard.
The Hero Karizma XMR 250 also gets a new 4-inch TFT screen which gets Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. An interesting detail on the new bike are the adjustable clip-on handlebars which will change the riding position. Pricing for the Hero Karizma XMR 250 hasn’t been revealed yet but we expect it to go on sale in the first half of 2026 and it will be priced over ₹2 lakh (ex-showroom).
