With more power and features, the new Hero XPulse 210 should now be better suited for long-distance touring.
Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the XPulse 210 in all its glory at the ongoing EICMA 2024 motorcycle show. It was one of the most anticipated launches from the brand this year, and like a typical Hero fashion, it makes it right in the nick of time as the ADV segment is witnessing a lot of action. From long travel suspension to a bigger and better engine, down to that iconic XPulse design – minimal and light – the new XPulse 210 is a proper upgrade.
Starting with the frame, the new XPulse 210 is built around the familiar trellis architecture. But in the adventure bike it is suspended on an adjustable telescopic fork, while the monoshock carries over as it is. The front suspension has 210 mm of travel while the rear has 205 mm of travel, so the ride quality will be very comfortable. Ground clearance is quite generous, as a result, the seat height is a bit on the taller side. There’s a XPulse 210 Pro avatar available as well which gets you increased suspension travel, and thereby more ground clearance, and a single-piece seat -- however, nothing was mentioned of that.
The new Hero XPulse 210 is powered by the same 210 cc liquid-cooled mill found in the Karizma XMR. However, in the ADV, it produces 0.9 bhp less at 24.26 bhp but 0.3 Nm more at 20.7 Nm. Hero has tweaked the engine, which hopefully makes it more suitable for the dual purposes motorcycle it is. The 5-speed gearbox has remained the same, too.
On the aesthetic front, the tall, round headlamp cluster remains the same. The beak is now more pronounced, and the fuel tank is also larger than the smaller XPulse. The seat is flat and has a wider spread for better accommodation, while the upswept exhaust design has been further redesigned to look steeper than its smaller siblings. The new body design, colours, and graphics complete this new body design.
Feature-wise, the Hero XPulse 210 debuts the brand’s latest 4.2-inch TFT console, with a nice neat and clean display. It supports Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts and notification alerts. Additionally, there are different ride modes on offer, along with that switchable ABS and traction control.
