The new facility, operated in partnership with Sked Ride, will provide sales, servicing and spare parts for EKA Mobility’s electric commercial vehicle range.
EKA Mobility on Thursday entered Hyderabad with the inauguration of its first dealership in Telangana, in partnership with Sked Ride Pvt. Ltd. The electric commercial vehicle manufacturer is aiming to expands its sales, distribution and after-sales network in the state. The new outlet is located on Miyapur Main Road, near JNTU College, and will cater to customers across Hyderabad and surrounding markets.
The Hyderabad outlet has been established as a 3S facility, bringing vehicle sales, servicing, maintenance and genuine spare parts under one roof. The facility will be supported by trained technicians, while fleet operators will also have access to EKA Mobility’s EKA Connect platform.
The dealership will retail EKA Mobility’s range of Made-in-India electric commercial vehicles, covering applications from last-mile cargo and passenger transport to buses and heavy-duty freight.
“Hyderabad is an important commercial and mobility market and opening our first dealership here is a significant milestone for EKA Mobility. This dealership is another step towards building a strong retail network and making electric mobility more accessible to commercial customers," Rohit Srivastava, Business Head & Chief Growth Officer, EKA Mobility, said in a statement.
The portfolio available at the dealership includes EKA’s electric three-wheelers -- the AVI 3W Cargo, AVI 3S and AVI 6S. Its electric bus range comprises the EKA 7M, 9M, 12M, Coach and Low Floor, while the company’s commercial vehicle line-up is topped by the EKA 55T heavy-duty electric truck.
The AI-powered fleet management system is designed to provide operators with visibility of vehicle performance and fleet operations, with the aim of helping them manage vehicles and maintain uptime.
The company currently operates three manufacturing facilities, including its bus plant at Koregaon Bhima and its truck and small commercial vehicle facility at Chakan, both in Pune. It is also developing a 47-acre manufacturing facility at Pithampur in Madhya Pradesh.
Once the facilities are supporting production as planned, EKA Mobility says its manufacturing footprint will provide annual capacity for 10,000 buses, 24,000 small commercial vehicles and 4,000 trucks. The Hyderabad dealership adds a retail and service touchpoint to that expanding production base as the company seeks to widen access to electric commercial vehicles in the Telangana market.
