The new facility is set to become Euler Motors' national manufacturing hub.
Commercial electric three-wheeler manufacturer Euler Motors unveiled its brand-new manufacturing and R&D facility in Palwal, Haryana. The 5 lakh sq. ft. plant, built with an investment of ₹100 crore, will reserve the capacity to manufacture 36,000 vehicles annually, which the company aims to achieve in FY25. Euler Motors has already sold 3,700 units of its HiLoad EV, since its launch in 2022, and with this new plant going into operation, the brand should be able to cater to the increasing demand that will come as part of its expansion strategy, wherein it plans to penetrate 40 cities by the FY2025 from the current 26 cities. Thus, the new facility will be Euler Motors' manufacturing hub, catering to the growing demand for its three-wheeler HiLoad electric across India.
Notably, the facility incorporates industry-first automation for cargo EV startups, including an EMS Hanger system for automated loading and unloading and a vacuum-based brake oil filling machine to minimise spillage and contamination. With such a state-of-the-art facility, Euler Motors plans to deploy 5,000-6,000 vehicles by FY25 from its current output of 3,600 vehicles, said Saurav Kumar to Acko Drive.
The plant employs over 500 people, with 20 per cent of the force being women. A dedicated learning and development centre, Kamar-Taj, has been established to address the skill gap in EV manufacturing. Euler Motors has also prioritised environmental sustainability, incorporating advanced waste management systems, a sewage treatment plant, and a circular groundwater recharge system. The facility complies with the Factories Act of 1948 and holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 certifications.
As Euler Motors expands its retail business in India, establishing this new plant will help it achieve its goal quickly. The company is also working to enhance its presence in each new city by establishing charging networks and making its products easily accessible with different financial schemes.
