The Tata Punch facelift is in its final stages of testing with the launch date now confirmed for January 13, 2026.
The upcoming Tata Punch facelift will be the automaker’s first launch of the year, and ahead of its arrival, we have caught the model in its final stages of testing. The Punch facelift is slated for launch on January 13, 2026, and is expected to arrive with a host of upgrades, revised styling, an updated cabin, and more tech. The spy shots show a heavily camouflaged test mule, revealing little about what the changes will be. That said, we now have a fair idea on what the new Punch will look like.
Tata is bringing a nip and tuck update to the Punch facelift. The update includes a new grille, new LED headlamps and a revised bumper with vertically stacked fog lamps, and a new brushed silver-finished skid plate. The overall styling will be evolutionary yet sharper, lending a fresh look to the micro SUV. Moreover, expect to see Tata retain the same door handles, while the overall silhouette will remain unchanged as well. Tata will introduce new alloy wheels for a bolder look. The rear will feature a new bumper, while the arrow-themed taillights will make way for new connected lights that are simpler in design, and extend across the width of the vehicle.

Tata has not revealed the new cabin on the Punch facelift but expect to see a new dashboard with a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the Punch EV. There will be the new two-spoke steering wheel with the illuminated logo in the centre. Tata is expected to add features such as a 360-degree camera, auto-folding ORVMs, and possibly the new HVAC panel with touch-sensitive buttons for the climate control function. We also expect to see new cabin upholstery, and exterior paint options with the facelifted version.

Tata will continue using the existing engines on the Punch facelift. This includes the 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine good for 86.7 bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque. The CNG version with the twin-cylinder technology produces 72.4 bhp and 103 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and AMT. Expect to see a mark of Rs 20,000-40,000 on the Punch facelift when it arrives later this month.
