Geetika Bisla has joined Bengaluru-based electric mobility company Ola Electric as Head of Marketing, continuing in the same capacity as her previous role at Hero MotoCorp.

Hero MotoCorp’s Head of Marketing, Geetika Bisla, has moved from Jaipur to Bengaluru to lead the marketing efforts at Ola Electric. With over 20 years of experience in the marketing domain, she brings with her a rich and diverse background, having worked across national and international markets in Southeast Asia, India, and the Middle East.

During her tenure at Hero MotoCorp, Geetika played a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s modern marketing strategies. She was instrumental in positioning Hero as a relevant, aspirational brand among younger consumers and motorcycle enthusiasts. Her work focused not only on product communication but also on building cultural resonance for the brand in a rapidly evolving two-wheeler market.

She spearheaded several of Hero’s key campaigns and product launches, including enthusiast-oriented offerings such as the Hero Karizma XMR Combat Edition, XPulse 210, Xoom 125, Xtreme 250R, and Xoom 160. Each of these products was aimed at expanding Hero’s appeal beyond the commuter segment.

Under her leadership, Hero launched the high-impact “Challenging the Extreme” campaign featuring Virat Kohli, which showcased the Xtreme lineup performing stunts across London. This helped elevate Hero’s image as a global performance brand. She also led other notable campaigns like “The Magnetic Frontier” for the Hero Mavrick 440, “The Original Glamour is Back” featuring Ram Charan, and the Hero Pleasure Xtec+ Connect campaign with Alia Bhatt.

Before joining Hero MotoCorp, Geetika led marketing initiatives at Samsung India, where she played a key role in the launches of flagship devices such as the Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S7.

At Ola Electric, Geetika will face a challenging mandate. The brand, despite being a significant player in the EV space, has struggled with its public image due to recurring quality concerns, after-sales service issues, and even reports of some showrooms operating without valid trade licenses. These factors have dented consumer trust at a time when the EV transition demands reliability and reassurance.

Ola Electric does, however, have an ambitious product pipeline. Following the launch of the Ola Roadster, which received mixed reactions due to reported quality issues, the company plans to expand the Roadster lineup and eventually debut its much-anticipated electric car, a project that remains a few years away.

In this context, Geetika’s appointment marks a crucial strategic move. Her proven ability to craft culturally relevant campaigns and reposition legacy brands could play a defining role in reshaping Ola Electric’s narrative, rebuilding consumer trust, and steering the brand toward its long-term aspirations.
