The flagship Hero ADV motorcycle is powered by a 420 cc, liquid-cooled engine
Hero MotoCorp teased the upcoming XPulse 421 at the 2024 EICMA motorcycle show. While we were expecting a full-blown concept of the upcoming ADV bike to be showcased, all we got to see was some sketches, clay models and some teasers of the components. What we can confirm is that the Hero XPulse 421 is almost production-ready and the company plans to directly launch the new bike next year. We expect the XPulse 421 to make its India debut by mid-2025 at the earliest. The flagship Hero ADV will give competition to the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. As for pricing it should be close to around ₹3 lakh (ex-showroom).
From the sketches we can make out that the XPulse 421 will have a completely new design language in comparison to theXPulse 210. The upcoming motorcycle looks sleek by ADV standard and has got good style cues as well. We expect the 420 cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine should be good enough to deliver around 43 to 45 bhp.
The Hero XPulse 421 features an all-new trellis frame which rests on a USD fork and a monoshock unit. Whether the upcoming Hero ADV gets adjustable suspension or not is something we shall have to wait and watch. The Hero XPulse 421 gets long travel suspension, spoke wheels and dual-purpose tyres.
