The Hero Xoom 160 is among the most powerful scooters to go on sale in India.
Hero MotoCorp made big news at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show when it launched its most premium scooter ever - Hero Xoom 160. The Xoom 160 is a mix of a maxi-scooter and an ADV, making it among the most niche scooters to ever go on sale in our country. No wonder then, the new Hero scooter created a lot of curiosity among Indian buyers, especially given its ₹1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is expensive but given the context, a very good pricing. However, the flagship scooter hasn’t gone on sale yet despite the pricing being revealed as the scooters haven’t reached Hero dealerships yet. In a recent interaction with Hero officials we came to know that the Xoom 160 deliveries will likely commence by the end of April, 2025
The reason for the delay is because Hero MotoCorp wants to space out its launches and deliveries. In March itself deliveries for the Hero Xoom 125R will commence, post which the company will focus its attention on the Hero Xtreme 250R and the new Hero XPulse 210. The above-mentioned motorcycles are expected to reach showrooms in the first half of April, 2025. So if you had your eyes set on the Xoom 160, we will suggest a little bit more patience would be welcome.
Powering the flagship Hero scooter is a 156 cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, delivering 14.6 bhp and 14 Nm, making it one of the most powerful scooters on sale. The styling of the scooter is rugged and even the proportions of the scooter are large, which should help in gaining a lot of attention. The scooter rides on 14-inch alloy wheels with a chunky 140 section rear tyre. The Xoom 160 also comes with a single-channel ABS and other features include a LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity, start/stop system and navigation. The new Hero 160 cc scooter will rival the likes of the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Aprilia SXR 160.
