Tata Motors is on the brink of reviving the Sierra in India by launching the compact SUV later this year. Acko Drive has yet again spotted the Sierra being tested. While not much is visible about the SUV, we can get an idea of its dimensions as it can be seen next to a Maruti Suzuki Baleno.

The Sierra will be a compact SUV, measuring around 4.3 metres in length. Next to the Baleno, it looks much larger, but that’s also because it is an SUV. These dimensions and the boxy design language will allow Tata Motors to maximise the interior space in the Sierra.
The Sierra test mules seen earlier have generally been of base-spec models, as they can be seen with steel wheels and wheel covers, while this current test mule can be seen with alloy wheels. Other visible aspects of the latest Sierra test mule include ADAS sensors and cameras at the front, 360-degree camera units on the ORVMs, the kink in the rear windows and a shark-fin antenna. Not a lot can be seen as the SUV has heavy camouflage.

Due to be launched later this year, the Sierra will get both ICE and EV versions, and it’s the EV that is going to make its way to the Indian market soon. The ICE version is likely to debut with Tata Motors' new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that will also eventually make its way to the Harrier and Safari SUVs.
