The Genesis GV90 flagship SUV has been leaked undisguised, revealing a pillarless coach door design, 24-inch wheels, and a luxurious interior.

The upcoming Genesis GV90 flagship SUV has been revealed ahead of its official debut after undisguised prototypes were spotted at a crash test facility. It is worth noting that Genesis, Hyundai’s luxury division, has plans to start operations in India from next year.

The leaked photos of the GV90, which originated from the Instagram account @sr_spaz, shows the vehicle in a courtyard alongside various partially destroyed test cars from brands such as Kia, Volvo, and Audi. These images provide the clearest look yet at the massive proportions and innovative features of the South Korean luxury brand’s most ambitious project to date.

The most striking design element of the GV90 is its pillarless coach door configuration. Recent patent filings by Genesis confirm that the vehicle uses a sophisticated multi-layer sealing system to maintain structural integrity and noise insulation without a traditional B-pillar. This allows the front and rear-hinged doors to open from the centre outward, a hallmark of ultra-luxury vehicles. To accommodate the reverse-hinged rear doors, the rear fenders have been noticeably widened.

The exterior features advanced Micro Lens Array headlamps with intricate jewel-like patterns, seamlessly integrated into a body that mirrors the clean aesthetic of the Neolun concept car. In a first for a domestic Korean vehicle, the GV90 is equipped with massive 24-inch wheels that resemble the high-end dish designs found on Maybach models.

Inside, the cabin is designed for executive comfort with a VIP four-seater layout. The interior is finished in extensive diamond-quilted leather and features independent rear captain seats with significant reclining capabilities.

Technology is central to the experience, with a removable tablet-style display and a wireless charging pad integrated into the rear centre console. Due to the lack of a B-pillar, Genesis has integrated the front seatbelts directly into the seat shoulders. As a fully electric flagship, the GV90 will represent a bold move by Genesis to compete directly in the global premium segment.
