The new Rajmarg Pravesh portal aims to simplify and digitise the process of obtaining NOCs for facilities and utilities along National Highways.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has launched an upgraded version of the Rajmarg Pravesh web portal to streamline the process of obtaining No Objection Certificates for facilities located along National Highways. The portal was formally unveiled by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari.
The revamped platform has been designed to simplify, digitise and accelerate approvals for fuel stations, wayside amenities, rest area complexes, private properties, connecting roads and other infrastructure seeking access to National Highways. The initiative aligns with the Government’s continued focus on enhancing transparency and strengthening ease of doing business across sectors.
Accessible at rajmargpravesh.morth.gov.in, the upgraded portal enables citizens, businesses and institutions to submit online applications for highway access permissions in a structured and user-friendly format. It also facilitates approvals for government bodies and private entities seeking to lay essential utilities such as water pipelines, gas pipelines, optical fibre cables, electrical lines and other services along or across National Highways.
By digitising the application workflow and standardising approval timelines, the Ministry aims to make the process more efficient, accountable and time-bound. The platform is expected to significantly reduce paperwork, improve tracking of applications and minimise delays, thereby saving both time and operational costs for stakeholders.
The upgraded Rajmarg Pravesh portal is expected to further strengthen digital governance in the highways sector while improving coordination between authorities and applicants.
