The new rates take effect on September 22.
India Yamaha Motor Pvt Ltd on Tuesday announced substantial price cuts across its motorcycle and scooter lineup, with savings reaching as high as ₹17,581 per vehicle. This comes days after the government's GST rate cut announcement.
The two-wheeler manufacturer confirmed it will transfer the entire benefit from the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) revision directly to consumers when the new rates take effect on September 22, 2025, according to an official company statement.
The flagship R15 model will retail at ₹1,94,439, representing a significant decrease from its current price point of ₹2,12,020.
The popular RayZR scooter will be available for ₹86,001, down ₹7,759 from the existing price of ₹93,760.
"We would like to thank the Government of India for the timely reduction in GST on two-wheelers. This step will provide a strong boost to the two-wheeler demand during the festive season," Itaru Otani, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group, said in a statement.
Otani noted that enhanced affordability will benefit consumers while also boosting market consumption and generating positive industry momentum.
"At Yamaha, we are pleased to pass on the full benefit of this reduction to our customers across India," Otani added.
The price adjustments arrive strategically during India's festive purchasing period, potentially driving increased demand for two-wheeler vehicles across the country.
