The bookings for the Harley-Davidson X440 will commence from July 4, 2023.
Harley-Davidson India and Hero MotoCorp partnered new Harley-Davidson X440 roadster has finally been launched in the country at Rs. 2.29 lakh for the X440 Denim, Rs. 2.49 lakh for the X440 Vivid, and Rs. 2.69 lakh for the X440 S trim (all prices ex-showroom, India). The Harley-Davidson X440 is the first product under the Harley-Hero collaboration and is also the most affordable Harley ever sold in India. The bookings for the Harley-Davidson X440 will commence from July 4, 2023, and deliveries by August-September, 2023.

Developed at Hero MotoCorp’s Global Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur, Rajasthan, the new Harley-Davidson X440 shares engine details with the upcoming Hero XPulse 400 that the company is developing, and will debut very soon. The Harley-Davison X440 is powered by a 398 cc single-cylinder, air and oil-cooled engine developing 25 bhp and 38 Nm of torque, coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.
The Harley-Davidson X440 looks modern and sophisticated with its global design language. It receives an all-metal front fender, rear fender, fuel tank, and side covers to show its muscular and bold character. The motorcycle follows a classic retro look, with the LED projector headlamp integrated with signature DRLs. The headlamps come with sensor-operated automatic tech, while the LED turn signals also get the LED treatment. At the back, the tail lamp also maintains a classic retro look that is fully LED with unique illumination.
The suspension set-up on the Harley-Davidson X440 rests on a steel trellis frame suspended by a 43 mm USD fork and twin shock absorber setup. The 320 mm front rotor brakes and dual-channel ABS are part of the standard fitment.
The difference in the trims, includes wire-spoke rims and minimal badging on the Denim trim, while the Vivid variant gets alloy wheels and dual-tone paint options. The X440 S comes with diamond-cut alloy wheels, 3D badging, and a colour TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, with navigation and notification alerts.
