Tata Aeris: Expected Price of the New Maruti Suzuki Dzire Rival

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Aeris sub-4-metre sedan in India tomorrow. With a fresh design identity, an updated interior, and a rebadged positioning, attention now turns to how the new subcompact sedan will be priced across its petrol, CNG, and electric iterations.

Tata Aeris Price (Expected)

Currently, the outgoing Tata Tigor petrol and CNG range is priced approximately between ₹5.69 lakh and ₹9.09 lakh (ex-showroom). Given the visual differentiation over the Tiago, including a bespoke front bumper and a revamped cabin layout mirroring the 2026 Tiago facelift, the Aeris petrol and CNG variants are expected to be dearer by ₹10,000 to ₹40,000 across trim levels. Under the bonnet, it will retain the proven 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine paired with manual and AMT gearbox options.

Tata Aeris EV Price (Expected)

The electric version could see a major price correction. The outgoing Tigor EV currently retails between ₹12.49 lakh and ₹13.75 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the upcoming Aeris EV is anticipated to be cheaper. Following the precedent set by the 2026 Tiago EV's notable price drop, Tata is expected to pass on similar cost savings to the Aeris EV.

By offering a sharper price point on the electric model alongside modest hikes for the petrol and CNG versions, Tata aims to strengthen its competitive standing in India's subcompact sedan segment against established rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Honda Amaze.
