The highest bid for the Hero CE100 was recorded at ₹20.30 lakh.

Hero MotoCorp has successfully concluded the auction of its exclusive collector's edition motorcycle, "The Centennial." The auction, which was limited to dealers, suppliers, business associates, and employees, raised an impressive ₹8.58 crore for charitable initiatives via the auction of 75 units

The limited-edition motorcycle, of which only 100 units will be produced, commemorates the 101st birth anniversary of the Indian brand’s Founder and Chairman Emeritus, Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal. Although limited to an exclusive clientele, Hero stated that the highest bid for the bike reached ₹20.30 lakh, thus making it the most expensive Hero motorcycle, to date.

Unveiled alongside the Hero Mavrick 440, "The Centennial" motorcycle is a marvel of engineering and design. Although based on the same platform that also underpins the Hero Karizma XMR, the Hero CE100 features lightweight aluminium and carbon fibre components, custom-machined parts, and a performance exhaust system by Akrapovic.

The design is also quite aggressive in appeal, and the half-fairing design pays homage to the iconic first-generation Hero Karizma. Additionally, each bike is adorned with exclusive special edition numbered badging, solidifying its place in Hero MotoCorp's storied history.

While the exact details of the engine were kept under wraps. It did feature the same 210 cc, liquid-cooled mill that also powers the Karizma. And given its exclusive nature, and the performance exhaust system, we expect there has been quite a boost in performance, that is beyond the standard 25.15 bhp and 20.4 Nm output.

On the sidelines, Hero MotoCorp also announced an AI-powered contest for its vast customer base of over 118 million. This contest will offer customers a chance to win one of the remaining 25 Centennial bikes. The two-phase contest invites participants to share their stories about how Hero products have impacted their lives, followed by the creation of personalized visual representations using Gen AI technology.
