Hero Vida V2

The Vida V2 range is now more affordable while gaining better range, performance and features.

Hero MotoCorp upped the ante in the Indian electric two-wheeler space by launching the new Vida V2. The new Vida V2 has been positioned as an affordable and accessible electric scooter, and Hero will be banking on this new electric scooter to improve its market share in the ever-growing electric scooter segment. Prices for the Vida V2 start at ₹96,000 for the V2 Lite, ₹1.15 lakh for the V2 Plus, and go up to ₹1.36 lakh for the V2 Plus (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom, Delhi).

The three variants come with different battery packs. The Vida V2 pro is the top-spec variant and features a 3.94 kWh battery, the V2 Pro is equipped with a 3.44 kWh unit and the base Vida V2 Lite sports a smaller 2.2 kWh battery pack. All the three Vida V2 variants feature removable batteries which can be charged at home with 80 per cent charging done in under 6 hours. The Vida V2 is powered by a 6 kW PMSM motor with a torque output of 25 Nm. Hero claims a 0-40 kmph acceleration time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 90 kmph for the Vida V2 Pro variant. It also gets four riding modes - Eco, Ride, Sport and Custom. The Vida V2 Pro has a claimed IDC range of 165 km.

In terms of features, the Vida V2 gets a 7-inch TFT touchscreen and goodies such as turn-by-turn navigation, cruise control, keyless entry and regenerative braking. Vida V2 customers also have access to over 3,1000 Vida fast-charging networks spread across over 250 cities in our country. Hero is offering the Vida V2 with 5-year or 50,000 km vehicle warranty, 3-year or 30,000 km warranty for the battery pack.
