The Hero Vida Z has been spotted being tested on public roads. This is the first time that the scooter has been officially spotted since it made its global debut last year at EICMA 2024. The Vida Z might be built on the same platform as the Vida V2, but unlike the latter, it follows a more family-oriented approach. This is given away by its smooth body design, which is a clear departure from the sporty-looking Vida V2. Plus, the scooter spied was uncamouflaged, and it boasted an eye-catching yellow colour scheme, and single-piece seat – all of which come together to give a nice, funky, yet conservative outlook.
As we had seen last year, the Vida Z will get a removable battery system. This setup will offer great flexibility, with both home charging and battery swapping options. This should make the case stronger for Hero’s electric scooter against the likes of the Honda Activa e:, which gets swappable batteries as well, but can only be swapped at a Honda-registered swapping station.

We are yet to confirm the kind of features the Vida Z will come equipped with. But if we take the Vida V2 as a reference point, then the Vida Z should get a TFT display, all-LED illumination, keyless operation, smartphone connectivity, and much more.
The Hero Vida Z is expected to be priced around ₹1,00,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), Its neutral design, multiple charging options, and robust infrastructure support position it as a potentially significant player in the expanding electric two-wheeler market.
