Honda 0 Alpha

Interior details of Honda’s upcoming 0 Alpha EV have surfaced in new spy footage.

Honda is actively road testing the upcoming 0 Alpha EV in India ahead of an expected early 2027 launch. However, new spy footage has revealed the first undisguised glimpses of the electric SUV's interior layout.

While the initial concept vehicle showcased by Honda in 2025 provided a preview of the SUV’s radical exterior design, its internal layout had remained strictly under wraps until now. The newly spotted development prototype confirms that the dashboard architecture is dominated by a dual-screen setup.

The most prominent element is a massive, high-mounted central touchscreen infotainment display positioned right at the centre of the dashboard. Directly to its right, the driver's cockpit is equipped with a significantly smaller digital instrument cluster. Positioned in front of this driver display is a sporty, three-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel that integrates tactile steering-mapped paddle shifters, which are expected to manage the vehicle's regenerative braking levels.

Despite the integration of the colossal central touchscreen, the 0 Alpha’s interior does not abandon physical ergonomics. The centre console retains a dedicated array of analog buttons and physical switchgear, which appear to control primary vehicle functions such as the automatic climate control and ventilated seat operations.

The main dashboard assembly also features a distinct, quirky scooped-out structural design, though industry analysts note that because this is an early-stage prototype, the final production-spec model could feature more refined interior surfaces.

On the outside, the 0 Alpha EV represents a complete design departure from any of the internal combustion engine (ICE) models currently sold by Honda in the Indian market. The electric SUV is defined by a boxy, upright silhouette, featuring a distinctive rectangular front grille section that neatly encloses the main headlamp clusters, chunky front and rear bumpers, high-set vertical LED tail lamps, a flat rear tailgate, and rugged, squared-off protective cladding wrapped around the wheel arches.

While official technical specifications regarding the electric powertrain remain sparse, the production vehicle is highly expected to utilise lithium-ion battery packs sourced from CATL’s manufacturing facilities in Indonesia.
