Bookings for both of Honda’s electric scooters are available across select dealerships only.
While Honda’s debut electric scooters in India, the Activa e: and the QC1, are still awaiting launch, bookings for both have already commenced across select dealerships for a token amount of just ₹1,000. Yes, Honda is taking the conservative route with its debut electric scooters as it is targeting the more EV-compatible cities to begin with. The Activa e: will be available for bookings in Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai whereas the QC1 can be booked at select Honda dealerships in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chandigarh.
The Honda Activa e: will be the more premium option for it will be available with two swappable battery packs each with 1.5 kWh capacity. With both the batteries fully charged, the Activa e: will be good for 102 km of range. The Honda QC1 will be available with just one fixed 1.5 kWh battery pack that is good for 80 km of range on a single charge. The QC1 will be available with a relatively simple AC charger that will take 4 hours and 30 minutes to charge the battery from 0-80 per cent, while almost 7 hours to charge from 0-100 per cent. Either way, both the scooters will be powered by a 1.8 kW electric motor that is good for 77 Nm of peak torque.
While both will be available with a fully digital instrument cluster. The Activa e: gets a more premium 7-inch TFT display that supports Honda’s RoadSync app, and thereby will get you several connectivity features including call/SMS alert, turn-by-turn navigation, etc. The QC1 will get a smaller 5-inch LCD screen with no connectivity feature, whatsoever. The only advantage that the QC1 will enjoy over the Activa e: will be with its 26-litre boot space. The latter will miss out on this practicality since the swappable batteries are placed there instead.
Prices for both Honda Activa e: and QC1 will likely be revealed at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 which is scheduled to take place from January 17 to 22. Deliveries for both the scooters will start from February 2025 onwards.
