The rugged-style scooter is fully compatible with E85 flex-fuel blend.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has officially introduced the Honda ADV160 adventure-style maxi-scooter to the domestic market. Designed to handle both city commutes and light trail riding, the ADV160 enters the Indian market with full compatibility for E85 flex-fuel blends.

At the heart of the Honda ADV160 is a 157 cc single-cylinder, water-cooled engine. The unit generates a peak power output of 15.8 bhp alongside 14.7 Nm of maximum torque, mated to a fully automatic CVT transmission.

The vehicle's mechanical layout features a double-cradle frame supported by a 31 mm telescopic front fork and gas-charged twin rear shock absorbers. Braking duties are handled by a 240 mm front disc brake paired with a rear drum assembly, supported by a single-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as standard equipment to improve stability under sudden deceleration.

Adding to its ADV positioning are the 14-inch block-pattern tyres. The ADV160 features an approachable 780 mm seat height alongside a manageable kerb weight of 134 kg. The scooter's distinctive adventure-touring profile includes a central spine chassis, broad handlebars, and a multi-position adjustable windscreen that can be customised to deflect windblast during high-speed highway cruising.

Underneath the stepped seat, the maxi-scooter provides 27 litres of internal storage capacity, capable of accommodating a full-face helmet alongside minor personal belongings. Additional convenience elements include a front storage compartment with a built-in USB charging port, keyless ignition, an all-digital LCD instrument console, and full LED illumination.

Upon launch, the ADV160 will compete with the Hero Xoom 160 and Yamaha Aerox 155 in India.
