This will be a special edition based on the Honda CB1000 F Concept, showcased earlier this year.
Honda recently released a teaser photo showing the silhouette of a roadster with headlight cowl. The body looked like the CB1000 F Concept that debuted earlier this year in Japan at the Osaka Motorcycle Show. The latter has been touted to go into production very soon, and the release of a new teaser of another similarly themed bike further strengthens those expectations. The bike in the latest teaser is called the CB1000 F SE Concept, a cafe racer avatar of the CB1000 F Concept, and it will officially debut in August at the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race.
The upcoming retro-styled next-generation CB model will combine tradition and modernity, and yet has been purported to be an affordable option. It will carry over the same mechanicals and hardware from the CB1000 Hornet. The latter launched in India a few weeks back at ₹12.36 lakh, and is one of the most affordable middleweight bikes in India for the kind of performance and features it packs.

The Hornet is powered by the same 999 cc inline four mill that produces 155 bhp and 107 Nm. Both the Honda CB1000 F and SE Concept are expected to hit production with this mill too. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox, therefore the similar setup would carry over too.
As for the hardware, USD fork and double-sided swingarm mounted monoshock will be the order of the day here. The fuel tank might get slightly bigger as is the case with roadsters, and other than that disc brakes at both ends completes the rest. While matters would have looked era-specific with spoke wheels too, but both the CB1000 F and CB1000 F SE Concepts are paired with alloy wheels, instead.
