New colours to spruce up the roadsters’ appeal
Honda has announced new colour variants for its CB350 retro roadsters. The H’ness gets a new ‘Legacy’ edition while the RS model now comes in a ‘Hue’ edition. Prices for both of these trims are Rs 2,16,356 and Rs 2,19,357 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively, making them Rs 1500 dearer than the top trims of each bike.
As the name suggests, the CB350 H’ness Legacy edition carries an iconic Pearl Siren Blue colour scheme, reminiscent of Honda CB bikes of the 1970s. It gets tan brown seats and a ‘Legacy Edition’ badge on the fuel tank to signify its premium old school appeal. For the CB350 RS Hue editions, Honda is offering two sporty shades: Sports Red and Athletic Blue Metallic. Both get similar dual-tone silver liveries with colour coordinated rim tapes.
Besides these new shades, the two bikes remain identical in every regard. They are powered by the same 348.36 cc air-cooled BS6.2-compliant thumper mill that makes 20.78 bhp and 30 Nm. Since these are the new top trims, both variants also get Honda Smartphone Voice Control system (HSVCS) which basically allows you to connect your helmet communication headset to the console and get turn-by-turn navigation instructions. Plus, you continue to get traction control on the CB350s.
These spruced up colour editions should bode well for Honda in the coming festive period. Will it be enough to sway buyers away from bikes like the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Hunter 350, Triumph Speed 400 or the Jawa 42? We shall find out soon.
