The Rebel 300 will be positioned as an accessible entryway into the brand's global cruiser portfolio.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has officially showcased Rebel 300 cruiser in the domestic market. While not yet launched, it is confirmed that the Rebel 300 is set to be locally manufactured in India.
Underneath its exposed trellis frame, the Honda Rebel 300 shares its core mechanical architecture with the CB300R. Powering the cruiser is a 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve DOHC engine that develops a peak output of 30 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 27.4 Nm of maximum torque at 6,500 rpm. The powerplant comes paired with a six-speed manual gearbox equipped with an assist and slipper clutch, engineered to lighten clutch lever action and prevent rear-wheel hopping during aggressive downshifts.

The cycle parts rely on a diamond steel frame suspended by 41 mm conventional telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. Anchoring the motorcycle is a 296 mm front disc brake and a 240mm rear disc brake, supported by standard dual-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). The cruiser rides on chunky 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in a wide 130/90 front tyre and a 150/80 rear tyre, emphasising its low-slung, bobber stance.
Designed around effortless rider accessibility, the Rebel 300 features an ultra-low 690mm seat height, making it one of the most approachable motorcycles in its displacement class for riders of varying stature. The vehicle tips the scales at a manageable kerb weight of 191 kg and carries an 11.2-litre peanut-shaped fuel tank.
Cosmetically, the motorcycle blends classic cruiser elements with modern minimalist touches, featuring a round LED headlight with four LED projector units, blacked-out mechanical components, high-mounted handlebars, mid-set footpegs, and a compact digital LCD instrument cluster.
Alongside the Rebel 300, Honda also showcased the locally-assembled Rebel 500 in India. We expect both bikes to launch around the festive season.
