Bookings for the new Honda XL750 Transalp have commenced with the deliveries slated to start by the end of November.
Honda has officially launched the 'XL750 Transalp' at an introductory price of ₹10,99,990 (ex-showroom, Gurugram). The XL750 Transalp is being imported to India via the CBU (completely built-up) route from Japan and will be exclusively available at the premium BigWing Top Line dealerships.
Bookings for the new Honda XL750 Transalp have commenced with the deliveries slated to start by the end of November.
The Honda XL750 Transalp features a retro-modern design with a compact headlight, integrated windscreen, large tank shrouds, and a rugged rear design with an aluminium rear carrier and LED lighting.
It is equipped with a 5.0-inch TFT panel that offers a wealth of information, including a speedometer, tachometer, gear-position indicator, fuel gauge, riding modes, engine parameters, and more. The display is customisable to the rider's preference and can be managed via the screen or left handlebar controls.
This ADV features electronic aids that rely on the Throttle-By-Wire (TBW) system, resulting in five riding modes that vary parameters like Engine Power, Engine Braking, and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) with ABS and an assist slipper clutch. Riding modes include Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel, and User, which can be completely customised.
It also includes a Voice Control system which allows answering calls, messages, music, and navigation while on the move. Additionally, it includes an emergency stop signal feature and automatic turn signal cancelling.
The XL750 Transalp is powered by Honda's new 755 cc liquid-cooled 270º crank in-line two-cylinder engine, producing 89bhp of power and a peak torque of 75 Nm. All this power is delivered through a 6-speed gearbox. Honda claims that patented Vortex flow ducts enhance throttle response, and the engine also features Ni-SiC (Nickel-Silicon Carbide) coating for efficiency.
The XL750 Transalp is equipped with Showa 43mm SFF-CA upside-down (USD) front forks and a rear shock through Pro-Link. Its lightweight steel diamond frame is designed to balance stability and manoeuvrability, making the bike suitable for short commutes, long highway rides, and off-road adventures. The 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel with spokes are expected to offer versatility on and off-road. It features dual 310mm wave discs with hydraulic 2-piston callipers at the front and a 256 mm single disc with a 1-pot calliper at the rear, including dual-channel ABS.
The all-new Honda XL750 Transalp is available in two colour schemes: Ross White and Matte Ballistic Black. Bookings are now open for the first 100 customers at Honda BigWing Topline dealerships. The price of the Honda XL750 Transalp puts it in the league of bigger rivals like the Triumph Tiger 850 Sport (₹11.95 lakh) and the BMW F 850 GS (₹12.95 lakh). The XL750 Transalp offers similar power (85 bhp & 82 Nm for the Triumph and 95 bhp & 92 Nm for the BMW) while being lighter than both, which can be an advantage for the brand.
