Honda XR300L & XR300 Rally Launched With Prices Starting At ₹1.83 Lakh, Deliveries From 2027

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has revealed prices for the new XR300L and XR300 Rally motorcycles. The hotly anticipated offerings were unveiled earlier this year as part of the 10 new two wheelers, the manufacturer promised to launch in the coming weeks. The Honda XR300L is priced at ₹1.83 lakh, while the XR300 Rally is priced at ₹2.08 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). Pre-bookings are now open for both motorcycles, but deliveries will take place only from 2027 onwards. 

The Honda XR300L and XR300 Rally are adventure bikes, locally made in India. Both draw power from the 293.5 cc air-and-oil-cooled single-cylinder engine borrowed from the Honda CB300F. The motor produces about 24 bhp and 26.5 Nm of peak torque in international markets. Exact specifications for the India-spec version are yet to be announced. In terms of hardware, the XR300 twins get telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear with long travel at either end. The bikes get disc brakes too, while riding on a 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheel combination.

While the XR300L is the base version, the XR300 Rally commands a ₹25,000 premium and adds a 5-inch TFT display, a larger fuel tank, a taller windscreen, knuckle guards, and rally-inspired panels. The Rally variant is also expected to be taller over the XR300L with increased ground clearance.

The Honda XR300L and XR300 Rally are motorcycles, which enthusiasts have been waiting for a long time, and the locally built nature makes them reasonably priced as well. The Honda bikes are sandwiched between the Hero XPulse 210 and Kawasaki KLX230 in the same space, which should make this an interesting battle for off-road enthusiasts.
