Honda has released a teaser for the ZR-V Hybrid in India ahead of its official unveiling on 22 May 2026. The promotional material confirms the SUV will be marketed under the ZR-V e:HEV nameplate, showcasing a front silhouette that aligns closely with the international version of the vehicle.
The premium SUV is expected to enter the Indian market as a completely built unit. It is likely to be powered by a 2.0-litre strong hybrid petrol engine producing 177 bhp and 240 Nm of torque, paired with an e-CVT gearbox. In global markets, this powertrain allows the vehicle to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in under eight seconds, reaching a top speed of 172 km/h.
Visual highlights revealed in the teaser include sharp LED headlights with L shaped daytime running lamps, a sculpted bonnet, and a panoramic sunroof. The side profile is expected to feature gloss black cladding.
At the rear, the SUV sports wraparound LED tail lights and a sporty bumper design with twin exhaust outlets. Measuring approximately 4.5 metres in length, the global-spec ZR-V offers a ground clearance of 180 mm and a boot capacity of 390 litres.
The interior is anticipated to feature a minimalist, layered dashboard design equipped with a 9-inch infotainment screen and a 10.2-inch digital driver display. Premium amenities likely to be included are dual zone climate control, a 12 speaker Bose sound system, and powered front seats.
Globally, the ZR-V is positioned below the CR-V. However, its India pricing is expected to remain high as the car will be imported to India via the CBU route. It is expected to be priced between ₹40 lakh and ₹50 lakh ex-showroom.
