Hyundai Bayon Bookings Open in India

Hyundai Motor India has officially opened bookings for its upcoming SUV, the Hyundai Bayon, at a token amount of ₹11,000. Measuring 4.2 metres in length, the tech-focused model is positioned as an Intelligent Utility Vehicle tailored for modern Indian consumers. Customers can reserve the vehicle online via the official brand website or at authorised dealerships nationwide, with deliveries scheduled to begin during the upcoming festive season.

Underpinning the new SUV is Hyundai's Global K Enhanced Platform. A key highlight of the Bayon is its in-built generative artificial intelligence voice assistant, designed to facilitate natural and intuitive driver-vehicle interactions. Built around five core development pillars covering intelligence, safety, comfort, performance, and style, the SUV integrates advanced structural rigidity with connected technology.

On the design front, the Bayon features a sculpted bonnet, signature H-Edge LED daytime running lights, geometric wheel arches, wrap-around door cladding, and bridge-type roof rails. Inside, the 4.2-metre footprint is configured to maximise legroom, headroom, and shoulder room for all occupants. Powering the vehicle is Hyundai's petrol engine (likely the 1.5-litre NA unit from Creta), available with a choice of a manual transmission or an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT).

Highlighting the launch, Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motor India, stated that the Bayon embodies the brand's vision for intelligent mobility by combining human-centric technology with progressive styling. The company expects the new offering to establish new benchmarks in the competitive compact SUV market.
