In Thailand, the Creta N Line gets a naturally aspirated petrol engine, while in India it comes with a turbo-petrol engine.
Hyundai Thailand has revealed the Creta N Line, but there’s a big change in it compared to the India-spec Creta N Line. The compact SUV in Thailand comes with a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre petrol engine, rather than the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol that’s available in the India-spec model.
The Creta N Line’s 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 113 bhp and 144 Nm, mated to a CVT automatic, while the Indian Creta N Line gets a 158 bhp, 253 Nm, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It also has a smaller fuel tank, 40 litres compared to 50 litres on the Indian car.
Apart from the powertrain, the mechanical components of the Thailand-spec car remain the same as those of the India-spec car. It gets a MacPherson Strut at the front and a torsion beam at the rear with disc brakes on all four wheels. Both also get an electric power steering.
Cosmetically, the two are nearly identical, with the same body kit and alloy wheels on offer. However, in Thailand, the Creta N Line doesn’t get red accents on side skirts and rear bumper, instead, it’s finished in silver. The Thailand-spec gets two colour options – Dragon Red Pearl and Creamy White Pearl – and both get a Black roof. In India, it is available in five colours – Thunder Blue with Black roof, Abyss Black, Shadow Grey with Black roof, Titan Grey Matte, Atlas White and Atlas White with Black roof.
In terms of features, both are identical to each other. They get a dual-screen setup with two 10.25-inch screens (one for the infotainment and one for the virtual cluster, a Bose-tuned 8-speaker audio system, ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, six airbags and more.
