The Hyundai Venue and Venue N together recorded their best-ever monthly domestic sales figure of 12,420 units.
Hyundai Motor India on Friday reported a 17 per cent year-on-year increase in domestic sales for April 2026, with 51,902 units sold, which is a strong opening to the new financial year. The Hyundai Venue and Venue N together recorded their best-ever monthly domestic sales figure of 12,420 units, suggesting sustained appetite for compact SUVs in the Indian market.
“We have opened the new financial year on a strong note, carrying forward the momentum built in recent months into April 2026. With monthly domestic sales of 51,902 units, Hyundai Motor India has achieved its highest-ever April domestic sales, registering a robust 17 per cent year-on-year growth. The encouraging response to our recent product interventions, including the new Exter, Verna, Ioniq 5 and Creta Summer Edition, Grand i10 Nios Vibe Edition and Venue Knight Edition -- has reinforced the competitiveness of our line-up.
"The 5-Star Bharat NCAP rating for Venue and Venue N Line further exemplifies our steadfast commitment to safety, contributing to the model’s highest-ever monthly domestic sales of 12,420 units. As we move ahead, we remain dedicated to delivering future-ready innovation, benchmark safety and a delightful ownership experience for customers across India," Tarun Garg, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said in a statement.
Separately, Hyundai has confirmed a price increase of up to one per cent across its model range from today, covering popular nameplates including the Creta, Venue, i20, Grand i10 Nios and others, as disclosed in a regulatory filing.
For the January to March quarter, Hyundai reported total sales of 208,275 units, up 8.7 per cent year-on-year, with domestic volumes for the period standing at 166,578 units. In March 2026, the company posted total sales of 69,004 units, comprising 55,064 domestic units and 13,940 exports.
Earlier this week, Hyundai launched the updated Ioniq 5 electric SUV in India, featuring revised front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheels and an upgraded interior with a three-spoke leather steering wheel incorporating illuminated elements.
The refreshed model is equipped with an 84.0 kWh battery pack offering a certified range of up to 690 km on a single charge, as per ARAI testing.
