Hyundai Motor India targets 10 lakh connected car sales by 2027, driven by its Bluelink ecosystem, rising customer adoption, software innovations, safety assistance features, and upcoming electric vehicle launches.

Hyundai has announced that it has sold over eight lakh connected vehicles on Indian roads. Powered by its artificial intelligence platform called Bluelink, the automaker is aiming to reach 10 lakh cumulative connected vehicle sales by 2027 and 20 lakh sales by 2030. Since launching the technology in 2019, connected vehicle adoption across the company's portfolio has grown fivefold, rising from 4% to 20% in 2026.

The Bluelink system offers more than seventy features across safety, security, and convenience. Key offerings include remote vehicle monitoring, health diagnostics, location tracking, trip history, and remote commands. It also includes in-car payments via Hyundai Pay, Digital Key, Digital Passport, Remote Immobiliser, Home-to-Car Connectivity, and over four hundred and fifty AI voice commands supporting five languages. The underlying tech ecosystem relies on more than 1.2 million lines of code to deliver these capabilities.

Hyundai's roadmap towards Software Defined Vehicles began in 2019 with the launch of the first-gen Venue, which was India's first OEM-fitted connected SUV. This was followed by Over-the-Air map updates in 2020 on the i20, advanced Audio Video Navigation Telematics in 2022, and the introduction of the Connected Car Navigation Cockpit with Controller Over-the-Air capabilities in 2025. Popular models like the Creta, Venue, and i20 continue to drive strong consumer demand.

Beyond convenience, Bluelink has made a measurable impact during emergencies. The technology has assisted over five lakh motorists through emergency SOS and roadside assistance services, supported approximately fifteen thousand crash notification interventions, and helped law enforcement agencies recover stolen vehicles. Additionally, tools like Driving Score and Digital Passport encourage safer driving habits while supporting proactive vehicle maintenance through personalised insights.
