Hyundai India’s March 2026 Sales Touch 69,004 Units

Hyundai Motor India Limited reported total sales of 69,004 units in March 2026, registering a modest 2.5% year-on-year (YoY) growth, while domestic volumes hit a record high for the month.

Domestic sales stood at 55,064 units in March 2026, marking a 6.3% YoY increase and the highest-ever March domestic tally for the company. Exports for the month came in at 13,940 units.

The relatively lower overall growth compared to domestic volumes reflects a more measured increase in exports. On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, sales remained broadly stable, indicating steady demand without significant fluctuations.

Hyundai’s consistent domestic performance highlights sustained traction across its key models, supported by a strong portfolio spanning hatchbacks, sedans, and SUVs.

FY26 Performance

Hyundai did not report its performance of the entire FY26. But, it reported total sales of 2,08,275 units in Q4 FY2025-26, registering an 8.7% YoY growth.

• Domestic sales: 1,66,578 units (up 8.5% YoY)
• Exports: 41,697 units (up 9.4% YoY)

The domestic figure marks Hyundai’s highest-ever quarterly sales in India, underlining strong demand momentum through the quarter.

Tarun Garg, MD & CEO, stated that the company has carried forward its growth momentum into 2026, achieving record quarterly domestic sales. He added that upcoming product updates, including refreshed models like the Verna and Exter, are expected to support future growth.
