The new Venue retains the same three engine configurations as its predecessor.
Hyundai Motor India Limited has announced the launch of the all-new Venue compact SUV, scheduled to debut on 4th November 2025. The second-generation model introduces a significant powertrain expansion with the addition of a diesel automatic variant, addressing growing customer demand in the Indian market.

Bookings for the all-new Hyundai Venue commenced alongside the launch announcement, with customers able to reserve the SUV through an initial booking amount of ₹25,000 at authorised Hyundai dealerships across India or via the brand's online click-to-buy platform.

The most notable update centres on the 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine, which now features a newly introduced six-speed torque converter automatic transmission. This marks the first time the Venue diesel variant has been offered with an automatic gearbox option, previously restricted to manual transmission only. The diesel engine produces 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, available with either the six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.

The petrol powertrain lineup comprises two options. The 1.2-litre Kappa MPi naturally aspirated petrol engine delivers 82 bhp and 114.7 Nm, paired exclusively with a five-speed manual transmission. Meanwhile, the 1.0-litre Kappa Turbo GDi petrol engine generates 18 bhp and 172 Nm, available with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) with idle stop and go (ISG) technology.

The new Venue retains the same three engine configurations as its predecessor. The previous generation offered identical petrol engine options—the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated unit with five-speed manual and the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol with six-speed manual or seven-speed DCT. The diesel powertrain remains the 1.5-litre unit introduced in March 2020, replacing the original 1.4-litre diesel engine. However, the critical difference lies in transmission availability: whilst the outgoing model's diesel variant was manual-only, the new generation adds the automatic option.

The SUV also features advanced drive mode select (eco, normal, sport) and traction control modes (sand, mud, snow), alongside paddle shifters for enhanced driving engagement.
