Hyundai India has expanded its popular Verna sedan portfolio with the introduction of a new SX+ variant, available with both manual and Intelligent Variable Transmission (iVT) options at ₹13.79 lakh and ₹15.04 lakh (both prices ex-showroom, India) respectively.
Variant | Price (ex-showroom, India) |
|---|---|
| 1.5 MPi MT SX+ | ₹13.79 lakh |
| 1.5 MPi iVT SX+ | ₹15.04 lakh |
The new Verna SX+ variant comes loaded with several premium features that elevate the in-cabin experience. Key highlights include a Bose 8-speaker premium sound system, leather seat upholstery, front ventilated and heated seats, LED headlamps, and front parking sensors — features that are typically reserved for higher-end variants.
In addition to expanding the Verna lineup, Hyundai has also introduced a wired-to-wireless adapter for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This new accessory allows for wireless smartphone connectivity and is now compatible across seven Hyundai models-- Grand i10 Nios, Exter, Verna, Aura, Venue, Venue N Line, and Alcazar.

The powertrain options remain the same for the Verna lineup, offering two petrol engines. The 1.5-litre MPi naturally aspirated petrol engine delivers 113 bhp of power and 144 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or an iVT unit. For those seeking performance, the 1.5-litre Turbo GDi engine churns out 158 bhp and 253 Nm, available with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
